- 7:30a-4/5p MTW (clinic days), 8a-4/5p Th, F. Research/Administrative
- On call status: One weekend per month
- Holiday Calendar & On Call status: On Call schedule for holidays planned the month before w input from MD team
- Leave time for Fellows: 30 days/year, conference time = leave time

- What type of housing, if any, is offered? Housing is not offered and is the fellow’s expense. Housing costs are relatively low and we can suggest lodging options used by previous fellows.
- Is the site in Bangkok or in a rural area? Bangkok (map link of general area). Block 28 is the SEARCH Research Foundation location. Clinical duties could also be at IHRI, Chulalongkorn, and Thai Red Cross.
- Could I find out more about the expectations as far as daily duties of the trainee? i.e., clinical vs research activities? Upon application submission, detailed job description/expectations will be discussed.
- Is there a deadline for 2025 applications? The Fellow position could be available as early as May/June of 2024. We suggest application submittal no later than Dec 31, 2023 and encourage sooner.
- The licensing process to be able to practice in Thailand in the context of the study. Is that paperwork processed by the program or the trainee? All work-related licensing and permits will be handled by the SEARCH team with your assistance.
- What is the commute like and is any transportation provided? Where you choose to rent will determine your general transportation needs. Bangkok has public transportation and other modes of transportation widely available.
- To communicate with patients, are there on-site interpreters or only phone interpreters? On-site staff assist in communication with participants and teams.
- Does the program cover any travel expenses to/from the US? Any relocation assistance? No relocation assistance. The INHCC will pay for your flight to Bangkok & your return flight when the term is completed.
- Does the program assist with visa processing or is that also up to the trainee? Our SEARCH team in Bangkok will submit the work permit application with your assistance. The fellow will be responsible for any home country visa requirements for the purposes of this position. We cannot make any guarantees related to regulatory processes (visa, work permit, etc...) resulting in approval.
